ZAGREB, 12 March (Hina) - Croatian and Belgian Ministers of Foreign
Affairs Mate Granic and Eric Derycke signed an agreement on air
traffic in Zagreb Tuesday. The two countries are working on some
some other bilateral economic and business agreements and on
abolition of visa requirements. The Belgian minister, who is on his
first official visit to Croatia, stressed his country was ready to
help Croatia in poeaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube
region:
"That is a form of solidarity with a country in trouble and we
are prepared to shoulder our share of the burden," said Mr.
Derycke, adding that he is supporting Croatia's efforts on
integration into European mechanisms.
Minister Granic reiterated Croatia's committment to
normalization of relations with FR Yugoslavia, saying Croatia
expects Belgrade would support normalization of relations. He said
Croatia was looking forward to a peaceful reintegration and
demilitariozation of the Croatian Danube region. He added process
of reintegration should procede as scheduled. Mr. Grabnic also
underscored the importance of the development of the BH Federation
and supported its European integration and its links with Croatia.
