ZAGREB, April 5 (Hina) - Meat that is used for the production of
canned beef that has been distributed to refugees and displaced
persons in Croatia, originates from Spain and France, and the
manufacturer is Conservera Campofrio S.A, Avda. Europa 24, Parque
Empresarial "La Moraleja", 28 109 Alcobendas, the head of the
European Union Task Force for Humanitarian Aid (ECTF), Francisco
Martinez Esparza said in a statement which was forwarded to the
Croatian government Office for Refugees and Displaced Persons. #L#
In the letter to the head of the Office, Damir Zoric, Esparza
stressed that they had verified the origin of ingredients for the
beef paté, powdered milk and chocolate spread, confirming that they
were not from Great Britain.
The letter also said that all products from their program had
undergone a rigorous control by inspection services.
According to the Croatian government Office data, the amount
of humanitarian help from the "1010" program that arrived every
month, amounted to 4470 tons.
