KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 (Hina) - Economic cooperation between Croatia and Malaysia is expected to intensify after the April visit of the Malaysian President Mahathir to Croatia. Basic agreements between the two states should be signed
during President Mahathir's visit, Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic said after the completion of his two-day visit to Malaysia.
KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 (Hina) - Economic cooperation between
Croatia and Malaysia is expected to intensify after the April visit
of the Malaysian President Mahathir to Croatia. Basic agreements
between the two states should be signed during President Mahathir's
visit, Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic said after the
completion of his two-day visit to Malaysia. #L#
Agreements between the two states on science, technical,
economic and cultural cooperation as well as an agreement on
revoking visas and double taxation between Croatia and Malaysia
were being prepared, Granic said.
The two countries could enter joint investment projects in
Croatia and Malaysia in various areas, from construction to
automobile industry, Granic said.
The Croatian delegation on Thursday held talks on those topics
with the Director of the Malaysian Agency for Promotion of
Malaysian Products in Central and Eastern Europe (EON). The Agency
is especially interested in placing a very popular Malaysian car
'Proton' on the world market.
Malaysia will soon present its products to the Croatian public
at the Zagreb Spring Fair.
Minister Granic on Thursday held talks with the Malaysian Vice
Premier Dato Kseri Anwar Ibrahim and the Transport Minister Datuk
Kseri Ling Sik. Granic and the Malaysian Transport Minister signed
an agreement on cooperation in air traffic.
Minister Granic and the Croatian state delegation are to leave
for Singapore tonight.
