The bishops expressed their concern for the Catholic
congregation in Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as their support for the
return of all Bosnian refugees.
The bishops offered a prayer for the success of the peaceful
reintegration of eastern Slavonia into the Croatian constitutional
and legal system.
They suggested the establishment of two new dioceses in the
region of the present Zagreb diocese, in Slavonska Pozega and
Varazdin. They also suggested the establishment of a new diocese in
Lika.
The Catholic Church expressed its wish that the process of
denationalization of its assets be treated in the same manner as
any other case of denationalization in Croatia, the statement said.
