MOSTAR, March 14 (Hina) - UN Secretary-General's special envoy to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iqbal Riza, on Thursday arrived in Mostar where he was recieved by the president of the Municipal Council of western (Croat) Mostar, Mijo Brajkovic.
After the meeting, Riza said that the problem of Mostar should not be separated from problems of the whole of the Bosnian Federation.
MOSTAR, March 14 (Hina) - UN Secretary-General's special envoy to
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iqbal Riza, on Thursday arrived in Mostar where
he was recieved by the president of the Municipal Council of
western (Croat) Mostar, Mijo Brajkovic. After the meeting, Riza
said that the problem of Mostar should not be separated from
problems of the whole of the Bosnian Federation. #L#
Asked to comment recent misunderstandings in the Federation,
Riza said that he was concerned with the situation in the
Federation.
"We are hoping for a positive outcome, but that depends on the
Federal partners," Riza said.
Brajkovic said that Riza had pledged to inform the UN that he
agreed with the fact that problems of Mostar could not be separated
from problems in the Federation.
Riza is also to hold talks with the EU Administrator for
Mostar, Hans Koschnick, with Bosniac (Moslem) officials in the
eastern part of town,Islamic community officials and officials of
the Catholic Church in Mostar.
