After the talks, Metropolitan Pavlovic said that his arrival
in Sibenik was a sign of trust. He had visited Bishop Badurina in
order to discuss with him tasks relating to the reconciliation,
Metropolitan Pavlovic said.
The revival of the religious life of Orthodox believers in
Sibenik and in Croatia was still very difficult to carry out. As
regards the return of Orthodox priests, they should return to their
dioceses, Metropolitan Pavlovic said, adding that his impressions
of the journey were 'drastic and shocking' and that both churches
had difficult tasks ahead of them.
Bishop Badurina said that the meeting was one among many
meetings between representatives of the two churches. Today's
meeting also represented 'our wish to maintain contacts ahead of
meetings of church delegations'.
