DECISION ON MOSTAR CANNOT BE CHANGED WITHOUT EU, KOSCHNIK SAYS

MOSTAR, Feb 16 (Hina) - Changes of the decision of EU Administrator of Mostar Hans Koschnik on the administrative and territorial organisation of the city had to be discussed with the Presidency of the European Union and the implementation of that decision could be discussed with EU Administrator, EU Administrator of Mostar Hans Koschnik told a press conference in Mostar today.
MOSTAR, Feb 16 (Hina) - Changes of the decision of EU Administrator of Mostar Hans Koschnik on the administrative and territorial organisation of the city had to be discussed with the Presidency of the European Union and the implementation of that decision could be discussed with EU Administrator, EU Administrator of Mostar Hans Koschnik told a press conference in Mostar today. #L# Asked why he was not attending today's meeting in Sarajevo, which would tackle his decision, Koschnik said: "The European Union has decided that I should not attend the meeting". According to information from journalist circles and the EU Administration of Mostar, eastern Mostar Mayor Safet Orucevic has not left for Sarajevo either. Koschnik's spokesman Dragan Gasic said the meeting in Sarajevo would either not be held or it would be held but not in the form which had been announced previously. It had been announced that the talks would be held between President and Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina and both Mostar Mayors and that they would also be attended by Croatian Foreign Minister mate Granic and EU Administrator of Mostar Koschnik. Asked to estimate the current situation in Mostar, Koschnik said that Mostar was the problem of the whole Federation. 'Either we will find the solution for both the Federation and Mostar or we won't find any solution at all', Koschnik said. He announced that he would meet Austrian Chancellor Franz Vranitzky next week. On 26 February Koschnik would meet EU foreign ministers in Brussels. Asked about the arrival of 101 Croatian policemen in Mostar, Koschnik said that a meeting between representatives of the Croatian police forces and Western European Union would take place in Mostar today.
