SARAJEVO, Feb 16 (Hina) - IFOR troops yesterday apprehended 11 persons in a former ski resort, south of Fojnica (50 kilometres from Sarajevo), IFOR spokesman in Sarajevo, Colonel Marc Rayner told reporters at a press conference on Friday, according to a BH Press report. #L# According to Rayner, no resistance was offered. "The material which was found and confiscated, indicates that the resort had been used as a school for training terrorists," Rayner said. Besides instructions for terrorist actions, the house contained weapons, ammunition and explosives. "More than 60 pieces of weaponry were found, including AK-67 rifles, machine guns, snipers, grenades, a box of hand grenades, 150 boxes of small arms and ammunition, two pieces of artillery and a lot of detonators," Rayner enumerated, adding that improvized explosive devices of all types and models had also been found. Of the eleven suspects, three are Iranians who allegedly served as instructors, Rayner said. Six suspects are Bosnians and two have not been identified yet, he said. All have been detained for questioning. "IFOR commander, Admiral Leighton Smith, today inspected the site and held talks with President Izetbegovic, who told him that the facility was formerly used by the Bosnian Interior Minister for training police academy students," Rayner said. Asked what would happen to the three Iranians, Rayner answered that they would be handed over to the Bosnian Government and would soon leave the country. Asked whether the 11 suspects were caught in the act of en making preparations for a terrorist action against NATO troops in Bosnia, Rayner said, "Already at a first glance it was obvious that it was some kind of a school for terrorist training, but we do not know whether they were preparing attacks on specific locations and objects. 162041 MET feb 96
