ZAGREB, March 8 (Hina) - The Croatian electrical equipment
manufacturer "Koncar" celebrated its 75th anniversary on Friday
in Zagreb.
Koncar's managing director Vjekoslav Srb detailed basic
information about the company and its business activities.
Koncar had some fifty subsidiary companies based in Croatia
and abroad, in countries such as the United States, Egypt, and
Malaysia and in important European countries.
The controlling interest in Koncar was held by the Croatian
Privatization Fund, with Siemens as the second largest
shareholder. The rest of the DEM 400-million equity was held by
small shareholders.
Koncar's corporate income in 1995 amounted to more than 360
mil. DM which was 8% more than in 1994, Srb said, adding that
exports accounted for 40% of the total amount.
The projected corporate income for 1996 totalled 412 mil.
DM, of which 160 mil. (30% more than last year) were expected
export proceeds.
Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa praised Koncar's business
policy, oriented toward international markets.
