MOSTAR, March 7 (Hina) - Bosnian Federation premier Izudin
Kapetanovic and his deputy Drago Bilandzija held a press
conference after a Federation government session in Mostar on
Thursday.
Kapetanovic said that the Federation government fully
supported the interior minister and his deputy and their efforts
in the process of transfer of Serb-held areas to federal control.
The government demanded that the composition of the federal
police force reflect the 1991 population census, he added.
The meeting decided that in the next seven days federal
government ministers would delimit the powers of federal and
republican ministries.
The government expressed its full support of the Rome
accords on Mostar and the Dayton peace agreement under which four
federal ministries would be based in Mostar, Kapetanovic said.
Bilandzija said that the session also focused on efforts to
create a federal financial system so that Federation officials
could participate in an international conference of donors for
Bosnia, which is due to take place in mid-March under the
sponsorship of the World Bank and the International Montetary
Fund.
The government decided to set up services for customs,
taxation and payment operations, Bilandzija said.
