Speaking about the topic "Program Tasks of the HDZ in the
Creation of Legal and Social State in Conditions of Privatisation
and Free Market", Tudjman stressed that the topic was a vast area
since it included all current questions in Croatia.
The session, Tudjman said, was divided into three topics -
"The Croatian Democratic Union In the Creation of State and in
Homeland War", "The HDZ and Multi-Party System in Homeland War and
Establishment of State" and "Security of Croatian State Stability
Through Establishment of Legal and Social State on the Basis of
Private Entrepreneurship and Free Market".
Speaking about the agenda, Tudjman said that the war was over
and that the state entered the period of peace. However, the HDZ as
well as Croatia were exposed to certain 'staged attacks from within
and from abroad, which were aimed at destabilizing not only the HDZ
but Croatia as well". "That is why we want to look back and make a
survey of what has been achieved so far and see what our future
tasks are. We also want to give an answer to internal and external
enemies of the independent Croatian state, an answer to a
psychological war that is being waged against the HDZ and Croatia",
Tudjman said.
The HDZ had been attacked from the very beginning, when it had
been described as 'the party of dangerous intentions'.
"That was the first psychological war aimed at destabilizing
the party. The second scenario was the one on the "Herzegovinian
lobby", which was allegedly reigning Croatia and leading it into
destruction. The third scenario was the one on 'a completely wrong
policy the HDZ had towards Bosnia-Herzegovina'.
When the third scenario failed as well, it was time to launch
a scenario on crime, Tudjman said, adding: 'We are facing such
scenarios in the time when we are entering the period of peace and
solution of important questions as regards Croatia's position in
the world'.
The session continued with Tudjman's speech on the first topic
"HDZ's Role in Establishment of State and in Homeland War".
