This morning, Minister Granic and Norway's Trade and Shipping
Minister Greta Knudsen are to open a panel in Oslo on Croatian-
Norwegian economic cooperation. Minister Granic will also meet
Norse businessmen.
Even though Croatian-Norwegian trade totalled only US$ 50
million last year, the investors' interest in Croatia has
considerably increased owing to a recent drop in war risk in the
area of former Yugoslavia.
Several bilateral agreements, including the Agreement on Trade
and Economic Cooperation and the Agreement on Road and Air Traffic,
are expected to be signed today.
After signing the agreements, Minister Granic is to meet his
Norwegian counterpart Bjoern Tore Godal for political talks.
In the afternoon, Minister Granic is to be received by King
Harald V. After meeting Norway's sovereign, which is accounted a
special honour in diplomatic circles, Minister Granic is to meet
Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland and Parliament members.
Minister Granic is scheduled to leave for Sweden late in the
afternoon.
