ZAGREB, March 2 (Hina) - A 15-member US Congress delegation
currently on a visit to Croatia offered their assistance in
tracing missing persons, Congressman Robert Dornan told reporters
in Zagreb on Saturday after meeting Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman.
Dornan said that Congress could appoint a commission that
would try to solve the problem of missing persons in direct
contacts with Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic.
Dornan added that he thought that economic sanctions against
Serbs should not have been lifted until the fate of all civilian
and military prisoners on both sides was known.
The head of the Congress delegation, Sonny Callahan, said
that Croatia should be be admitted to NATO and that he could see
no reason why that would not be soon.
