IFOR OFFERS HELP IN IZETBEGOVIC'S TREATMENT

The patient was feeling better and his medical findings were showing that his health condition was improving, said the statement carried by Sarajevo radio. #L# An IFOR spokesman in Sarajevo today said that the chief commander of IFOR in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Admiral Leighton Smith had expressed his concerned about Izetbegovic's health. Smith confirmed that the NATO force in Bosnia was ready to secure any kind of assistance if necessary. Two Slovene doctors were transported to Sarajevo by an IFOR plane yesterday. Out of many offers of help, the doctors from the Sarajevo clinic chose the one by their Slovene colleagues from Ljubljana because of the vicinity.
