SPLIT, Feb 23 (Hina) - A military and diplomatic corps consisiting of members of 13 countries visited the Croatian Navy headquarters in Split at the request of military commissioners in Zagreb. The reason for the visit was a recently
completed submarine "Velebit". The guests examined the submarine and were informed about the process of its construction.

consisiting of members of 13 countries visited the Croatian Navy
headquarters in Split at the request of military commissioners in
Zagreb. The reason for the visit was a recently completed
submarine "Velebit". The guests examined the submarine and were
informed about the process of its construction. #L#
They were also informed about the organization of the
Croatian Navy by its chief commander, Admiral Sveto Letica.
"We want to organise a relatively small, but technically
well equipped navy so that we could be able to fulfill all orders
by the Croatian people and its president," Letica said, adding
that all war ships would be built by Croatian ship-building
companies which had gained great experience in the construction
of ships, especially of submarines.
