MOSTAR, Feb 20 (Hina) - All obstacles have been removed and freedom of movement has been established in Mostar, Croatian Interior Minister Ivan Jarnjak said on Tuesday after separate talks with Croat officials of the Herzeg-Bosnia and
Bosnian Federation Interior Minister, Avdo Hebib.
MOSTAR, Feb 20 (Hina) - All obstacles have been removed and freedom
of movement has been established in Mostar, Croatian Interior
Minister Ivan Jarnjak said on Tuesday after separate talks with
Croat officials of the Herzeg-Bosnia and Bosnian Federation
Interior Minister, Avdo Hebib. #L#
Jarnjak stressed that all participants of the talks agreed
that on Tuesday, between 3.30 and 4 p.m., the joint police
comprised of Croat, Moslem and west European officers would start
partolling the city of Mostar.
The patrols would comprise of seven officers - two from the
western European police force, one from Croatia, one from eastern
and western Mostar each, and an interpreter, said Jarnjak.
He added that the police would patrol only the central city
zone for the first ten days.
Jarnjak announced his meeting with the EU Administrator of
Mostar, Hans Koschnick, to take place next week.
He said that 101 police officers from Croatia were sufficient
for the time being, which is how many there are in Mostar at the
moment. If more Croatian officers should be needed and asked for by
the Bosnian Federation President Kresimir Zubak, Jarnjak said the
matter would be decided on at a later date.
