The two ministers discussed the process of the peaceful
reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area into the Croatian
constitutional and legal system. They also discussed the process of
implementing the Dayton Peace Accord, establishing and
strengthening of authorities in the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as recent events in Mostar after the
protest following the EU Administrator Hans Koschnik's arbitration
on organizing Mostar municipalities.
Granic and Kinkel described measures taken in the process of
the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area as
positive, expressing support for the efforts made by the
Transitional Administrator of the area, Jacques Klein.
Following the establishment of the Governments of
Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Bosnian Federation, great progress had
been made in the implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord and a
corner stone had been laid for the functioning of all Federation's
institutions, stressed Granic during the talks.
The two Ministers condemned the attack on Koschnik after he
had made his decision public. They had agreed to engage themselves
in resolving the situation in Mostar under the Dayton Peace Accord
with the aim of strengthening the Bosnian Federation, the statement
said.
