ZAGREB, Feb 3 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, Friday

Being aware of the fact that there is an insufficient number
of people for jobs in bodies of the state administration,
particularly in state supervision departments, President Tudjman
points in the letter to the necessity for relevant re-training of
demobilized members of the Croatian armed force, which will enable
them to be employed in the above-mentioned bodies of the state
administration.
In line with the 22 December 1995 conclusions of the
Presidential Council, the systematic and consistent implementation
of which requires the thorough re-organization of the overall state
administration as well as higher efficiency of state supervision
departments, that cannot be achieved without sufficient number of
trained and motivated employees, President Tudjman emphasizes that
this must be one of priority tasks of the Croatian state policies
in new peace-time conditions.
As regards this objective, President Tudjman expresses opinion
that the Government of the Republic of Croatia should define a
number of necessary staff for various bodies of the state
authorities, and to call on, by public announcement, all who are
interested in the service with the state bodies, and to make
relevant programmes for re-training.
The Government is to inform the Croatian President of taken
measures, the statement said.
