Correspondents with Croatian Television (HRT), the Vjesnik and
Vecernji List dailies and Hina, who had previously had problems
with press accreditation, now had press cards which they would have
to extend every three months.
Reporters from former Yugoslav republics based in Belgrade are
entitled to work permits valid for a period of three months as
opposed to their colleagues from other countries who have to renew
their permits every six months.
The resolution of the status of Croatian reporters in
Yugoslavia is a result of a January 10 agreement between Croatian
Foreign Minister Mate Granic and Yugoslav Foreign Minister Milan
Milutinovic.
