ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - A deputy speaker of the Croatian Parliament House of Representatives, Jadranka Kosor, on Wednesday visited the Centre for Human Rights Protection of Detained and Missing Croatian Citizens where she talked to
their families. The Croatian Democrat Union (HDZ) Secretary-General, Ivan Valent accompanied Kosor in the visit to the centre.
ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - A deputy speaker of the Croatian Parliament
House of Representatives, Jadranka Kosor, on Wednesday visited the
Centre for Human Rights Protection of Detained and Missing Croatian
Citizens where she talked to their families. The Croatian Democrat
Union (HDZ) Secretary-General, Ivan Valent accompanied Kosor in the
visit to the centre. #L#
The Centre head, Zdenka Farkas, said that the purpose of the
meeting was to inform Mrs. Kosor about problems and demands of
detained and missing persons' families, so that she could speak on
their behalf at the next Parliamentary session. Farkas stressed the
importance of the support by the HDZ party in establishing the
Centre for Human Rights Protection of Detained and Missing Citizens
at a national level.
Deputy speaker Kosor said that the resolution of the problem
of detained and missing persons would be one of the most important
tasks of the new Parliament. She said that the House of
Representatives had asked the Croatian Government to submit a
thorough report on detained and missing persons.
