"We witness that the international community still does not
pay enough attention to the problem", the "Appeal" head, Zdenka
Farkas, said.
"Appeal" remarked with disapproval that the international
community is trying to give more attention to Serbs who fled
Croatia after the liberation of the occupied areas, than to the
citizens of Croatia who were captured, forcefully taken away and
went missing during the autumn 1991 and the beginning of 1992.
"Appeal" demanded that more pressure should be put on the
Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic, as the centre believes that
he is responsible for this tragedy, in order to make him say
something about the fate of the missing people. "Appeal" proposed
that some deadline should be set when Milosevic must cast more
light on this issue.
"Appeal" asked that detainees and persons sent to prisons and
camps in the so-called Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
(Serbia/Montenegro), be released immediately.
