refused to comment on the talks, Orucevic said they were "lengthy and tough."
MOSTAR, Jan 23 (Hina) - The talks between Hans Koschnick, European
Union administrator in Mostar, and Safet Orucevic, eastern
(Bosniac-controlled) city half's mayor, closed on Tuesday evening
after several hours.
While Koschnick refused to comment on the talks, Orucevic said
they were "lengthy and tough." #L#
The Bosniac side, Orucevic continued, expressed its views on
the city setup, and warned Koschnick that the decision to introduce
a separate district "cannot be made since it would divide the city
into two parts."
Earlier in the day, the Croat mayor Mijo Brajkovic explained
the term of the central district in Mostar, which the European
Union has proposed. He said it would be a city zone where city,
canton and federal services and offices would be situated.
Orucevic said the international arbitration, comprising both
the European Union and the United States, might be needed to solve
the problems.
