War Crimes Tribunal, based in The Hague, Richard Goldstone arrived

office of the chief prosecutor. #L#
The NATO-led Implementation Force (IFOR) headquarters in
Sarajevo, Monday said that Goldstone would meet today the IFOR
commander, Admiral Leighton Smith, and the ground troops commander
in Bosnia, General Michael Walker.
The visit of the Hague Tribunal chief prosecutor to Sarajevo
had weak media coverage, as Goldstone had decided not to give
public statements.
An IFOR spokesman, Marc Rayner, reiterated on Monday that IFOR
would offer support to international organizations that would like
to investigate mass graves. But, Rayner said that yesterday's tour
of US Assistant Secretary of State John Shattuck to Srebrenica was
not connected with activities of the NATO.
Shattuck, accompanied by a large group of American reporters
to Srebrenica, confirmed that there were mass graves in eastern
Bosnia which should be investigated.
