Anyone familiar with the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina would
like that everything happened faster, Gallucci said, adding he
sympathized with people in Bosnia-Herzegovina, but held it was not
surprising that the implementation of many details would take more
time. People in charge of the implementation of the civil part of
the peace deal were asked to give their best and work as fast as
possible, Gallucci said.
The recruitment of the International Police Task Force (IPTF)
for Bosnia-Herzegovina was under way, Gallucci said.
The implementation of the agreement in eastern Slavonia and
the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina, especially the developments in
Mostar were central topics of today's meeting between the U.S.
official and Croatian vice premier Kostovic. 'We both agreed that
it was very important to support the Federation and to work on it',
Gallucci said.
Vice premier Kostovic said he had stressed the most important
questions in the solution of the problem of the Croatian Danube
river valley.
'The problem of missing persons and the problem of deadlines
for the implementation of the agreement have to be solved
effectively. Only then will the Croatian public, the Parliament and
President Tudjman believe in the effectiveness of the
implementation of the peace agreement, Kostovic said.
