ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - The Croatian government is looking at the
possibility of changing the law on local government and redrawing
the territorial boundaries of certain counties.
"We're giving it a serious thought," Deputy Prime Minister
Ljerka Mintas-Hodak said in Zagreb on Thursday after meeting a
four-member delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional
Authorities in Europe (CLARE).
The delegation is on a visit to Croatia between 9 and 13
January to assess the development of local and regional
democracy, and will report on it to the main bodies of CLARE and
the Council of Europe.
