CROATIA'S DEFENCE AND NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL HOLDS SESSION

( Editorial: --> 9893 ) ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - The Council of Defence and National Security convened in Zagreb on Saturday under the chairmanship of President Franjo Tudjman, the President's Office said in a statement. The council expressed satisfaction with a resolution adopted by the UN Security Council on Friday on the termination of the UNTAES mandate in the Croatian Danube region on January 15 next year. During a discussion on constitutional changes adopted by the Croatian National Parliament with regard to the listing of minorities in the preamble to the Constitution, it was said that the autochthonous minorities were specified by name, but that all minorities would continue to enjoy all rights in conformity with the Constitution and the highest international standards.
