ZAGREB, Dec 2 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament's House of Counties
began its ninth session on Tuesday morning and determined a nine-
item agenda after a short discussion.
The main topic of the one-day session will be a bill on amendments to
and changes of the Croatian Constitution.
The upper house is expected to consider another six bills in the
urgent parliamentary procedure.
It will also discuss a bill in the second reading and a bill in the
first reading.
Ivan Ninic of the SDP (Social and Democratic Party) proposed that
the House of Counties, like the House of Representatives, should
hold question time at each new session, or, at least, hold question
time twice during regular sittings.
Responding to Ninic's proposal, the upper house's speaker, Kartica
Ivanisevic, suggested that the issue be discussed by clubs of
deputies and after that the House of Counties would consider it at
its following session.
