SARAJEVO, Dec 4 (Hina) - A Croatian Defence Ministry delegation led
by Deputy Defence Minister Kresimir Cosic arrived in Sarajevo on
Thursday for the first official visit to the Bosnian Federation's
Defence Ministry.
The Croatian delegation met Federation Defence Minister Ante
Jelavic and his deputy Sakib Mahmulj, and Federation Army commander
Gen. Rasim Delic and his deputy Zivko Budimir.
Cosic told reporters after the talks that this was the first in a
series of meetings that would follow with the aim of promoting
military cooperation between the two ministries and strengthening
the peace and stability in the region.
Jelavic said that the two delegations discussed all important
issues of bilateral military cooperation in the context of good
neighbourly relations.
The talks focused on the peace agreement for Bosnia-Herzegovina,
compliance with the regional arms control agreement, the
development of the Federation Army, the reorganisation of the
Croatian Army and integration into Euro-Atlantic security
institutions.
Jelavic said that the two parties had begun talks on cooperation in
the area of military industry.
The Croatian military delegation was later received by Bosnian
Presidency member Kresimir Zubak, Federation President Vladimir
Soljic and Vice-President Ejup Ganic.
