DRVAR, 25 Nov (Hina) - A high ranking delegation of the Republic of
Croatia paid a working visit to Herzeg-Bosnia Canton on Monday and
Tuesday. The delegation was led by Franjo Greguric, special
representative of President Franjo Tudjman for relations with
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The delegation also included the Croatian Premier's advisor Ivan
Majdak and Croatian Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Darinko
Bago.
The Croatian representatives visited Glamoc, Bosansko Grahovo and
Drvar in the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina. They met with
representatives of canton and local authorities in the three towns,
held talks on reconstruction possibilities and the revival of
production in the canton, as well as on a more speedy linking of
Croatia, the Federation and Herzeg-Bosnia Canton.
After he visited war-destroyed production facilities, Greguric
said that considerable means had to be invested into the
reconstruction of the power generation system, without which there
could be no revival of production.
It was also necessary to reconstruct roads, solve social questions,
renew the housing fund and secure new jobs which would guarantee the
survival of Croats in those areas, Granic said.
Canton Reconstruction and Development Minister Ivan Ivic said the
reconstruction of the canton should be financed from the Federation
budget, as Croatia had been the sole donator so far.
