SARAJEVO, Nov 22 (Hina) - All 1,255 polling stations for the Bosnian
Serb parliamentary elections were opened at 08.00 am Saturday, and
the voting was proceeding with no problem, a spokesman for the OSCE
mission, Luke Zahner, said in Sarajevo on Saturday morning.
An incident occurred on early Saturday morning at Kopaci, in the
Serb-controlled part of the Gorazde area, eastern Bosnia, Zahner
added.
An explosion was registered in front of the polling station in
Kopaci before the opening of the station. Slight material damage
was caused and the incident did not obstruct the election which went
on regularly, he said.
According to the Sarajevo headquarters of the NATO-led
Stabilisation Force, an explosive device went off in Kopaci and
windows were broken but no one was injured in the blast. A local
police station is in the immediate vicinity of the spot of the
blast.
International Police Task Force (IPTF) investigators and an SFOR
patrol are now in Kopaci to establish circumstances of the
explosion.
