MURDER OF CROAT NEAR TRAVNIK STILL UNSOLVED ( Editorial: --> 7794 )

( Editorial: --> 7794 ) SARAJEVO, Nov 3 (Hina) - The three persons arrested by the Travnik police after the murder of one and wounding of two Croats near Travnik, central Bosnia-Herzegovina, have been released, UN spokesman Liam McDowall told reporters in Sarajevo Monday. The International Police Task Force was notified that three previously arrested persons were released four days ago, McDowall said, adding only one of them might be arrested, for illegal possession of arms. An investigation into the murder of Ivica Domic and the wounding of his father and brother was continuing in cooperation with Croat and Bosniak policemen from the Central Bosnian Canton's Interior Ministry. UNHCR spokeswoman Ariane Quentier said the fact that ten days had passed since the murder and the perpetrators had still not been arrested could considerably obstruct the return of refugees. She called on local authorities and police to do more. Quentier recalled that the majority of displaced persons and refugees from the Central Bosnia Canton were Croats, and stressed that the latest events would certainly not help the implementation of the first stage of the plan of return of refugees and displaced persons.
