SARAJEVO, Oct 29 (Hina) - Three persons suspected of connection
with the murder of one and wounding of two members of a Bosnian Croat
returnee family near Travnik, central Bosnia, were arrested, while
arrest warrants have been issued for three other persons, Bosnia's
federal interior minister Mehmed Zilic said on Wednesday.
"These are criminals believed to be involved in numerous crimes",
Zilic told a session of the federal parliament's lower house while
reporting on the security situation in the Bosnian Federation.
The security situation in BH was lately burdened by terrorist acts,
including 15 unsolved murders, the federal interior minister said.
He called for prompt laws which would enable a more efficient battle
against terrorism.
Speaking on behalf of the Bosnian Croatian Democratic Union Party
(HDZ) in relation to the latest crime in Travnik, representative
Ivica Peric said that crime was a terrorist act with a genocidal
background. He recalled the Travnik crime was the fifth attack on
Travnik Croats this year.
Peric said the Bosnian HDZ did not trust Central Bosnia Canton
authorities and demanded that the office of the International High
Representative in BH and the International Police Task Force take
full control over the area in question in order to prevent further
terrorism.
Bozo Rajic, the president of the Bosnian HDZ, today demanded the
replacement of competent persons at the federal and cantonal
interior ministries who should have stepped up the discovering of
the culprits.
