SARAJEVO, Oct 27 (Hina) - One Bosnian Croat was killed, while two
were wounded in the village of Nule near Travnik, central Bosnia, on
Sunday, UN spokesman Liam McDowall told reporters in Sarajevo on
Monday.
According to Habena, the Bosnian Croat news agency, a report of the
Travnik municipal authorities said Ivica Domic, born 1967, was
killed, while his father Ante and 14-year-old brother Zoran were
wounded.
McDowall could not say whether the Domic family were returnees or
residents of the village.
After learning about the incident around 19.00 hours Sunday,
members of the International Police Task Force engaged in
supervising the investigation, McDowall said.
The local police acted professionally and we gave them permission
to set up check-points and use long-barrel weapons so that the
culprits could be promptly found, the UN spokesman said.
The IPTF was as yet unable to determine whether the crime had been
ethnically motivated, McDowall concluded.
