TRAVNIK CROATS BREAK OFF TALKS WITH LOCAL MOSLEM AUTHORITIES

TRAVNIK, Oct 28 (Hina) - Following Sunday's killing of a Croat, Ivica Domic, and the wounding of his father and brother who is still in critical condition, representatives of the exiled Travnik Croats and the Travnik Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party's branch decided late Monday to break off all relations and talks with representatives of Moslem authorities in the central Bosnian town of Travnik. They also decided to cease implementing the results of the September municipal elections. The Croat side said it would continue talks on condition that "citizens of Arab countries leave the Travnik area, Central Bosnian Canton and the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina who have, in the meantime, received the citizenship of the non-existent 'republic' of Bosnia-Herzegovina." Their other condition for the resumption of talks would be the probe into the responsibility of leading Moslem politicians in Travnik after the five killings of Croat returnees to Travnik this year. In their statement issued on Tuesday, Travnik Croats asked that one of Croat federal or state officials commit himself of following the situation and relations and of offering the help to Croats till the completion of the reorganisation of Travnik. They asked that the following session of Bosnian HDZ presidency should be held in Travnik and be dedicated to the political and security situation in the town and the Canton. They invited the President of the Moslem-Croat Federation, Vladimir Soljic, and Croatian President's envoy for the relations with the Federation, Franjo Greguric, to visit Travnik, Travnik Croats' representatives also decided to ask to be received by Croatian President Franjo Tudjman due to the latest developments in the Travnik area.
