ZAGREB, Oct 30 (Hina) - At Thursday's session presided by Prime
Minister Zlatko Matesa, the Croatian government allowed the
Agriculture and Forestry Ministry to cover the interest on
investments into this year's autumn sowing from the Fund for the
Development of Agriculture. The funds were invested in areas of
special government care (war-ravaged areas), the government's
communications office said in a statement.
The government forwarded to the Croatian President a draft decision
on the closing down of the Croatian Embassy in the Islam republic of
Pakistan as of 1 January 1998.
The government nominated Zeljko Horvatic, Dubravka Simonovic and
Ivana Goranic as Croatian candidates for European Human Rights
Court judges.
The government relieved Svjetlan Berkovic from the duty of director
of the Diplomatic Academy as of 24 October 1997, due to his
transferal to a new duty. Mladen Andrlic was appointed to his post
as of 25 October 1997.
