KNIN, Oct 29 (Hina) - Knin Mayor Milivoj Tomas on Wednesday received
the deputy secretary of the Swedish Foreign Ministry, Lars Peter
Klaus Schmidt, the second secretary of the Swedish Embassy in
Zagreb, Anna Viktoria Flodh, and the second secretary of the
Norwegian Embassy in Zagreb, Toril Langlet.
The three foreign officials inquired about the number of Serb
returnees to the Knin area, the security situation in the area,
liberated in the 1995 Storm military action, the settling of issues
concerning private property, and in particular the establishment
of trust restoration committees.
Mayor Tomas acquainted them with the economic and security
situation in the town. There were no incidents during the Serbs'
return, he said.
The foreign officials were satisfied with the situation and
promised economic assistance for the area.
