CROATIAN GOVT PROVIDES GUARANTEES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TWO SHIPS

( Vidi vijest: 52030 ) ZAGREB, Oct 23 (Hina) - The Croatian government decided at a closed- door session on Thursday to provide guarantees to the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the construction of two ships in Split for "MP Shipping Inc" of Monrovia, owned by the Croatian shipping company "Mediteranska Plovidba" of Korcula. One of the conditions for obtaining government guarantees was that the ships should be sailing under the Croatian flag, the government's communications office said in a statement.. The government relieved Zeljko Lalic of his duties as assistant economy minister and replaced him with Roman Nota. Tourism Minister Sergej Morsan and Hina Director Branko Salaj were appointed members of the Management Board of the Croatian Information and Cultural Institute.
