$ - MILJAVAC
ZAGREB, Oct 8 (Hina) - Expert teams of the Croatian and French
Ministries of Defense will in the upcoming months be able to start
the technical implementation of joint projects on the basis of a
military cooperation agreement signed yesterday, the Croatian army's
chief-of-staff, Lt. Gen. Pavao Miljavac, said on Wednesday.
Areas of interest for both countries were "the education of
officers, training, perhaps even starting a project in armament",
Miljavac told reporters upon returning from a two-day visit to Paris
where he headed a Croatian military delegation.
Yesterday, Miljavac and his French counterpart, army general
Jean-Philippe Douin, signed an agreement on military cooperation
between the Croatian and French Ministries of Defense.
While in Paris, the Croatian delegation visited the French
army headquarters, the Ecole Militaire military academy, and the
Home of the Disabled, where it got acquainted with the French army's
health service, the recovery of the seriously wounded in particular.
