GALBRAITH HOSTS LUNCH FOR OPPOSITION LEADERS AND DIPLOMATS

DIPLOMATS $ ZAGREB, Sept 8 (Hina) - Following the request of the leaders of Croatian opposition political parties to brief foreign ambassadors on their recent meeting in Pula, US Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith hosted a lunch on Monday to bring these leaders and the ambassadors and charges d'affaires of France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and the Russian Federation together for informal discussions, the US Embassy said in a statement. This luncheon meeting was in no way unusual or extraordinary. It is common practice everywhere for ambassadors from democratic countries to meet regularly with a wide range of people and with those representing the entire spectrum of political views, the statement concluded.
