ZAGREB, Sept 9 (Hina) - Croatia's leading confectioner, Kras, has been
granted a syndicated international loan of DM 60 million, the company said
in a statement on Tuesday.
A loan agreement will be signed in Zagreb on Wednesday. The loan
was approved by the German bank Bayerischen Vereinsbank, France's
Banque Nationale of Paris and Austria's Raiffeisen Zentralbank.
The loan, designed for investment in production, will be repaid over a
period of five and a half years.
Kras is among the first Croatian private companies to be granted a
syndicated international loan. It is one of the largest confectionery producers
in southeastern Europe, with last year's total revenues of 670.32 million
kuna (DM 191.5 million) and a profit of 18.6 million kuna (DM 5.3 million).
