BONN, Oct 7 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Vlatko Pavletic opened the "Croatian Days" manifestation in Bonn on Tuesday. The manifestation is to last three weeks during which three Croatian counties will be presented with
cultural, art, tourist and culinary exhibits, Istria County, Osijek-Baranja County and the City of Zagreb, as well as several towns.
BONN, Oct 7 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Vlatko Pavletic
opened the "Croatian Days" manifestation in Bonn on Tuesday. The
manifestation is to last three weeks during which three Croatian
counties will be presented with cultural, art, tourist and culinary
exhibits, Istria County, Osijek-Baranja County and the City of
Zagreb, as well as several towns. #L#
Present at the opening were president of the Council of Europe
Parliament Assembly, Leni Fischer, EU Commissioner for Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Cristian Schwartz Schilling, German Parliament
Commissioner for Croatia, Hartmut Koschyk, German Parliament
representatives, as well as representatives from Bonn's cultural and
public life.
Opening the manifestation, Pavletic recalled the days when
Croats had to leave Croatia, but also the unity of Croats at home
and abroad, which had liberated itself from Serb aggression.
It is up to us to, in this different period, unite knowledge
and wisdom in the reconstruction and development of Croatia,
Pavletic said.
The gathered were also addressed by the Croatian Ambassador to
Germany, Zoran Jasic. Hartmut Koschy spoke on behalf of the German
Parliament, stressing that the "Croatian Days" was yet another
opportunity for strengthening ties between the Croatian and German
people.
