The talks focused on current issues, especially those relating
to certain pressures on Croatia from certain international community
circles.
"Personally, I am very satisfied not only with the talks, but
every question and answer," Pavletic said after the talks.
He added that the talks also focused on issues regarding the
situation from the past few days, in which Croatia absolutely showed
its determination in the implementation of the Dayton Agreement. He
stressed that he had informed in detail Suessmuth about the issue
and had appealed that Germany influenced those factors of the
international community who had blocked loans for Croatia.
Croatia had shown cooperativeness, and these loans were
crucial for further reconstruction, Pavletic said.
He said he had spoken with Suessmuth about the issue of about
3,800 Croat workers who worked outside of Germany for German
companies.
He asked that the workers remained in Germany. Suessmuth had
expressed understanding, Pavletic said, adding that she would be
able to give him a reply on Wednesday.
Pavletic said he had also informed Suessmuth about the
Croatian government Programme on the Restoration of Trust.
The talks between Pavletic and Suessmuth are to continue
Wednesday.
