"The surrender of Dario Kordic and nine other Bosnian Croat
indictees is excellent news. The detention and trial of those
indicted for war crimes is crucial to a lasting peace in Bosnia.
These indictees were right to give themselves up to the ICTY: there
is no hiding place for those who try to evade international
justice," said a statement by Cook sent to Hina by the British
Embassy in Zagreb.
"I welcome the cooperation of the authorities in Zagreb in
bringing this about. I hope it serves as a reminder that all Dayton
signatories are obliged to play their part in bringing war criminals
to justice," said the statement.
