IMF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RECEIVES GOVERNOR OF CRO NATIONAL BANK

ZAGREB, Sept 24 (Hina) - The governor of the Croatian National Bank, Marko Skreb, was received on Tuesday by the executive director of the International Monetary Fund, Michael Camdessus, at the yearly assembly of the IMF and the World Bank taking place in Hong Kong, the Croatian National Bank said in a statement on Wednesday. During Camdessus' talks with Skreb, both parties positively assessed the economic policy and macro-economic stability in Croatia to date. They also discussed possibilities of further cooperation between IMF and Croatia. Skreb acquainted Camdessus and his associates with Croatia's current economic situation, and outlined Croatia's standpoints and interests concerning a more efficient and mutually more profitable cooperation between Croatia and the international financial community.
