VUKOVAR, Sept 11 (Hina) - Croatian Labour and Social Welfare Minister
Joso Skara and deputy UN transitional administrator for eastern Croatia
Souren Seraydarian signed in Vukovar on Thursday joint statements by
which social welfare centres, retirement homes and employment services in
the Danube region of eastern Croatia are, together with their employees,
reintegrated in the Croatian system.
Expressing satisfaction with the signing of the statements, Minister
Skara pointed out Croatia had fulfilled all its obligations and would continue
to do so in the future. He recalled that 11,017 out of 12,739 requests for
retirement had been granted in the Croatian Danube region to date.
UN's Seraydarian assessed the reintegration of the Employment
Office's social services was, alongside the already signed reintegration of
superannuation funds, a further step in the successful reintegration of
Croatia's Danube region.
