CRO TAX SYSTEM TO BE FULLY OPERATIONAL IN DANUBE RIVER REGION IN SEPT

IN SEPT $ OR OCT VUKOVAR, 13 Aug (Hina) - The Croatian tax system in the Danube river region is operational to a large part and it will be fully operational during September or October, the head of the Croatian Tax Administration and Assistant Finance Minister Mate Perkovic stated Wednesday, after visiting tax administration offices in Beli Manastir and Vukovar. Returnee employees and 47 local employees have been working in tax administration offices in Vukovar and Beli Manastir for two months, Perkovic said, adding that tax administration offices in the Danube river region were collecting property taxes, turnover taxes on goods and services import, car taxes, corporate taxes, municipal, county and state budget taxes and customs taxes. All registered entrepreneurs have to pay taxes as well, Perkovic said adding that the registration of physical and legal persons was under way. Speaking about the payment of taxes of large companies such as Vupik and Borovo, Perkovic said that parts of those two companies which had been in exile, had paid taxes all the time and that newly reintegrated parts of the two companies were being registered. The financial police for the Croatian Danube river region were working in exile in Vinkovci and Osijek and would in the next couple of weeks start operating in the Danube river region, Perkovic said. Perkovic and his assistant Josip Lozancic also met with the head of the Centre for Reconstruction and Development of the Danube river region and Assistant Reconstruction and Development Minister Ivan Krstanovic as well as with Vukovar mayor Vladimir Stengl.
