SARAJEVO, Sept 9 (Hina) - Croatian ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina
Darinko Bago expressed sharp protest to OSCE mission chief Robert
Frowick on Tuesday over an article published in the Sarajevo magazine
"Dani", based on documents from the OSCE regional office in Mostar.
The article, headlined "Federal policies and Croatian elements
responsible for subversive activities in southwestern Herzegovina,"
portrayed senior Croatian government officials "in an untrue, distorted and
insulting manner," a statement from the Croatian Embassy said.
It added that the article "can be interpreted in no other way than yet
another effort to stir up dissent and divisions among the Croatian people
ahead of municipal elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina."
The statement said that Frowick had expressed regrets that false and
insulting information had been published about senior government officials
of the Republic of Croatia and representatives of the Croatian people in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Frowick stressed that the Organisation for Security and Cooperation
in Europe (OSCE) was not behind that information and pledged that he
would persist in identifying those responsible for that event, the statement
concluded.
