SARAJEVO, Aug 28 (Hina) - The Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina said on
Thursday that 2,525,230 voters were entitled to participate in
country-wide municipal elections on September 13-14.
OSCE spokesman David Foley told a news conference in Sarajevo
that there were no indications of a possible postponement of local
polls despite decisions by some members of the dissolved Bosnian
Serb Assembly to oppose the holding of elections.
It is in everyone's interest that the elections are held and
opposition to their implementation could have very negative
consequences, Foley said.
Foley stressed the OSCE had not been officially informed that
the Serb Democratic Party could decide to boycott the elections.
