UN Transitional Administration), killed in 1991, Stari Jankovci municipality commissioner, Ivo Lozic, said on Wednesday.

Commission for Missing and Imprisoned Persons headed by Lt. Ivan Grujic
exhumed three bodies of elderly civilians in Stari Jankovci (Vukovar-Srijem
County, under the UN Transitional Administration), killed in 1991, Stari
Jankovci municipality commissioner, Ivo Lozic, said on Wednesday. #L#
The bodies of Pejo Jurisic (54), Slavica Goman (63) and Nada
Krizanac, of about 50 years of age, were exhumed in a back yard of a
private house. The persons had been cruelly murdered after the occupation
of the village, and buried in one grave, Lozic said.
According to him, it was a known fact that Marinko Sarcevic (about
60) had also been killed in Stari Jankovci, but the place of his burial had not
been located yet.
The exhumed victims were given a proper burial at the Stari Jankovci
cemetery on Wednesday afternoon in the presence of family members and
parish priest Mate Spoljaric.
Members of the Commission for Missing and Imprisoned Persons
exhumed four bodies of victims killed in 1991 in the villages of Apsevci,
Podgradje and Nijemci. The persons were identified and given a proper
burial.
