TUZLA, July 18 (Hina) - UN special rapporteur for human rights for the
former Yugoslavia, Elisabeth Rehn, on Friday visited the Tuzla Clinic
Centre (north-eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina), where the identification of
corpses from single and mass graves from the Srebrenica area (eastern
BH) is being performed.
The victims of the Srebrenica genocide have not been forgotten,
Rehn said, and each positive result is a victory and an aid to those who
are still waiting for an answer.
Today, the UN human rights rapporteur also met with women from
Srebrenica who now live in Tuzla, with whom she talked about the results
international institutions achieved in tracing missing persons to date.
They also talked about the conditions the women now live in and the
problems they face. Rehn made a promise to assist in the efforts to
trace the missing members of their families.
